Overview
Galit brings to the practice of law her fluency in Hebrew. She is admitted to practice law both in New Jersey and New York states. She practices exclusively in the area of Family Law including but not limited to issues of custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, dissolution of civil unions and domestic partnerships, palimony, domestic violence, grandparent visitation and international child abduction.
Galit received her Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Rutgers University in 1998 with majors in Administration of Justice, Psychology and Hebraic Studies. She received her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra School of Law in 2003. While at Hofstra School of Law she authored the article "The Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and the Grave Risk of Harm Exception: Recent Decisions and Their Implications on Children from Nations in Political Turmoil." Family Court Review, Volume 41, No. 4, October 2003, 580-596. Her work in the area of International Custody Law and on Hague Convention cases was honored by the receipt of the Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2004.
Galit is Co-author of "In The Interest of Children of Same Sex Couples," Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Volume 19, 2005, Number 2.
