Attorney Information

Overview

Ms. Garasia is a Partner at the firm with over 27 years of experience. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and before the United States Supreme Court. Specializing in immigration and nationality law, Ms. Garasia handles all aspects of immigration, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, family and employment-based permanent residence applications, and U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization applications. As a “field attorney,” she represents clients at Naturalization and Adjustment of Status interviews nationwide.

A frequent and respected presence at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Newark District Office, Ms. Garasia’s extensive experience has guided clients through the often convoluted immigration process. She also regularly appears at the Mount Laurel and Cranbury Sub-District Offices. For over 10 consecutive years, she has been named to Super Lawyers in the field of Immigration by Super Lawyers Magazine, a prestigious recognition in the legal industry.

Ms. Garasia earned her B.A. from New York University and her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University – Newark, where she was an Editor of the Rutgers University Law Review. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where she formerly served as Chair of the New Jersey Chapter. She currently serves on the USCIS Liaison Committee for the New Jersey Chapter and has been a member of the AILA National Bylaws Committee. Additionally, Ms. Garasia is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (Immigration and Naturalization Section) and the Federal Bar Association. Her article, “Naturalization, Jersey Style,” was published in the February 2017 edition of New Jersey Lawyer.

Fluent in Gujarati and proficient in Spanish, Ms. Garasia dedicates her spare time to volunteering for the Citizenship Rutgers Program. She has also served as a moderator on naturalization issues at the Federal Bar Association New Jersey Chapter Annual Conference.
