Hired Law firm 2021-2023Mike is the best trial attorney in NJ in my opinion. After four Judges, Case being transferred from Middlesex County Superior Court to Somerset County Superior Court and Three Lawyers and thousands of dollars wasted over 5yr 8 months period and me begging to go to trial to clear my name from the corrupt New Brunswick Police Dept, and the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office who tried to frame me with false, fabricated testimony and charges that they created as probable cause. Me & Mike were like OJ and Jonny Cochran and we were victorious and found not guilty / acquitted on all charges in April 13, 2023 not even the lessor misdemeanor charges. Jury came back in 15 minutes. The police lied to the grand jury on two indictments and the police lied to the Judge to obtain a telephonic search warrant to enter my home. Even the presiding Somerset Superior Court Judge was bias and against us in court who tried to help the prosecution cause Mike was killing the both of them and the Judge stop proceedings to aid the prosecution. We have the trial testimony and its on record. I fired Mike twice out of frustration and realized his swag and skills was unmatched by all the other Attorneys I experienced. Mike is not bought by the establishment or status quo and not greedy for money. He has a love and passion to win. I highly recommend him. Cedrick Goodman former Middlesex County Democratic Committeeman and Community Activist.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
