Hired Attorney 2006-2020I met Jeff Pompeo in 2006 through my CPA. Jeff immediately took action to end litigation that was served upon me and did it in a timely, competent and cost effective way. Jeff cared about my situation and he has become a trusted advisor to me and to my business. I have sent many friends and family members to Jeff that needed legal help and I have heard nothing but good things about their experiences. Do not hesitate to contact Jeff, he is trustworthy and compassionate.

Hired Attorney 2013-2020I have worked with Jeffrey Pompeo since 2013 when I had a need to redo my will when my husband passed away. The will was complicated because it involved a family business. Mr. Pompeo answered all my questions and also brought up some possible problems that might occur that I had not forseen. His insight saved me a lot of money and aggravation in the long run and therefore I am very appreciative of his services. He also allowed me time to review all the changes before I finalized everything. I have used him many times since 2013 and will continue to rely on him for any legal matters that may arise. I highly recommend him for all your legal issues.

Hired Attorney 2016-2018Jeffrey W. Pompeo is a crook, he took 65% of my settlement money. He agreed to settle to an amount less than what I agreed to. Then held my money hostage until he forced me to agree that he would take 65% of the settlement before sending me my money. 2 Years of stress and anxiety to only have these guys make out better than me. STAY AWAY.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
