Hired Attorney 2025-2026From the first day we spoke on the telephone I knew I had the best Lawyer in New Jersey working for my family.Jon Somohano as soon as he took, the case, knew there was a lot of good in this young man and knew he can turn his life around.Jon was there every step of the way, and made sure that Anthony got his second chance of being a good Samaritan for the rest of his life. John is just not a lawyer, but he knows by looking at someone’s character what that person can become and bring to society. this was not an easy case for John to handle as I worried every day but at the same time I knew he was in the best of hands. This is my second review as my other one was like a novel and for some reason it didn’t go through. But I just wanna let you know if you’re ever looking for an attorney that is personable and the best at what he does Jon Somohano will give you 1000% in that courtroom. I am so grateful that I got my son home and back with me because I am a sick man and I feel like I’m already healing. Please understand John is not just an attorney. He knows all about family and what you get from him is all he is tip of the iceberg. I say to anyone who is looking for an attorney Jon stands out from everybody else. I want to thank Jon from the bottom of my heart for bringing my son and me back together again. If you’re looking for a good attorney, don’t look no further. This is the best Attorney that is out there. When my son came home yesterday, I was crying with so much joy. I can’t thank John enough. Thank you from John Tsikitikos and his son Anthony for the wonderful job he did for us in a very difficult situation. I don’t think anybody else could’ve done that.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
