Hiring Tim Hart to handle my convoluted tax issues dating back to 9 yrs was the best decision I've ever made! He is the consummate professional and highly knowledgeable. The personable and hand glove experience was unmatched in the deep-dive and due diligence performed in handling my tax issues. I will and have recommended him to anyone who is drowning in tax debt and has become stuck due to fear. Thank you so much, Tim! You are amazing! imari

I am a client of Mr. Timothy Hart and I highly recommend his service. Mr. Hart is highly professional to handle my complex tax situation. Due to the pandemic, the normal tax process has been affected and I have received many unexpected letters from the IRS for my tax situation. Mr. Hart is always patient to explain the meaning of these letters to me and he always responded to my questions in a professional and a timely manner (within a few hours). In addition, Mr. Hart is extremely honest and trustworthy. Like what other review said, there were no hidden or added fee after the first time charge. I highly appreciated Mr. Hart's help.

I highly recommend Timothy Hart. I found him to be professional, intelligent, diligent, and honest in my dealings with him. When we first met I told him my situation and he explained exactly what he would do and exactly what it would cost. There were no hidden fees or added fees after the fact. He’s a highly competent tax attorney and he got me the results I did not think were possible. I would recommend him to my friends, family and anyone who is need of a great tax attorney.

I worked with tax attorney Timothy Hart, who is also a CPA, and he helped me with an income tax problem I had with the IRS and NYS Tax Dept. I liked the idea they are a local firm. The whole process went smoothly, and the end result for me was great. His staff was also very helpful. Great Job and Thank you!

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
