If I could give zero stars, I would. These lawyers are beyond incompetent and unethical. From the beginning, it was evident they cared more about lining their pockets than properly representing me or handling my case. Their actions (or lack thereof) have been nothing short of disgraceful. - **Failure to Act with Diligence and Competence (ABA Rule 1.1 & 1.3):** They completely failed to perform critical discovery, which is the foundation of any legal case. Their negligence left my case unprepared and significantly weakened my position. - **Failure to Communicate (ABA Rule 1.4):** Despite numerous inquiries, they never informed me that the discovery period had closed in 2023 without them conducting any of it. Worse, they failed to advise me that they allowed the opposing side to depose me in 2024 after discovery had closed, an outrageous oversight that further jeopardized my case. - **Failure to Represent My Best Interests:** Not only did they fail to depose key witnesses who could have supported my case, but they outright lied to me, repeatedly claiming that discovery had been completed when it had not. I have these lies on tape, proving their deceit and complete disregard for my trust and case. Their dishonesty, lack of preparation, and pressure to settle show they had no intention of truly advocating for me. Every action (or inaction) demonstrated they were only interested in a quick payday, regardless of the harm to me. Thanks to my phone's recording device, I have undeniable proof of their lies and incompetence. All evidence has been submitted to the grievance committee. I will do everything in my power to ensure both of these attorneys are disbarred for their gross misconduct.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RICOTTA AND MARKS Pay attention to the negative reviews for this law firm, they are representative of the horrible service you will receive from Ricotta and Marks. During the consultation, they were very nice, but after they were paid, they became invisible and just seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. You know the saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted." You would be a fool to do business with Ricotta and Marks. They will take your money but miss deadlines and do not deliver on what they promised to do. Stay away for RICOTTA and MARKS unless you are looking to lose your money.

DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS with this LAW FIRM! Every negative review on here and on internet is accurate . This is/was the new resurrection of Morelli and Associates. Ricotta has a reputation of being such a fraudulent, grifting, unethical con-artist attorney - Ricotta is the epitome of every negative lawyer stereotype. The only thing he is good at is stealing your money , promising you the world, never returning your phone calls and never doing anything for your case. He's a loser and he has only won like 1 case, and tries to ride on the success of that 1 small case to fraud desperate clients out of their hard earned money by taking their retainers and spending it on himself. He is rude , arrogant , lazy, shows up late or not at all, never returns phone calls, and slovenly in his appearance and mind. He isn't very smart either and you will realize when you have a conversation with him. UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR CASE AND BE ROBBED, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RICOTTA AND MARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED!!!!

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
