Consulted Attorney 2019Mr. Beisker was recommended to us for a modification of an existing Family Living Trust. We met with Mr Beisker and explained that we wanted to make some changes to our existing revocable trust. He suggested that in the process we also put pur home in an irrevocable trust to protect the asset in the event either of us required a nursing home (after a 5 year waiting period). He quoted us a price of $7000 to modify the revocable family trust and create a irrevocable trust for our home. When we received the retainer agreement the price was increased to $7500. We informed Mr. Beisker that we wanted to think about the process. After some research we found out that we could create an amendment to the existing trust and not create a new revocable trust. All it cost us was a trip to the bank to get it notarized. Now why didn't Mr. Beisker inform us that a new trust wasn't necessary we only needed to create an amendment? Why did Mr. Beisker increase the cost of his work from $7000 to $7500. Could it be greed? As it turned out, because we did some research we saved $7500. I can not recommend Mr. Beisker to any friends of family based on our interaction with him. Find some one who is going to work for you.
