He attended North Carolina State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in English, and North Carolina Central University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor. While at North Carolina Central University School of Law, he served as a staff member on the school’s Law Review and graduated with Honors. During his spare time Attorney Blackwell enjoys watching football and listening to music.
