Overview
Annemarie Pantazis received a B.A. in Government in 1995 from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 1999, she earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Ms. Pantazis practices in the areas of workers' compensation, social security disability, and personal injury.
While at Wake Forest Law School, Ms. Pantazis served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board and was a published member of the Wake Forest Law Review. Her article, Zeran v. America Online: Insulating Internet Service Providers from Defamation Liability, 34 Wake Forest L. Rev. 531 (1999), has been quoted as persuasive authority by the Florida Supreme Court and was suggested reading at Harvard Law School.
Ms. Pantazis devotes a majority of her practice to representing injured workers in North Carolina workers' compensation claims. She has given several continuing education classes to fellow attorneys on the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Act.
Ms. Pantazis is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Mecklenburg County Bar, the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. She is licensed to practice in all North Carolina state courts as well as federal courts in the Western District of North Carolina, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
