"The day before Thanksgiving on my way home from work I was hit on a head on collision by a drunk driver leaving multiple injuries, multiple surgeries, and life long injuries. Since it was a drunk driver I thought this would be a simple payout from the insurance company but for some reason the police report was saying that I was the one actually at fault Mr. Maurer reviewed my case and took it right away. The first thing he did was hire a private investigator to investigate the police report that was saying that I was the one at fault. The investigation led to the police report getting changed and also figuring out that my case was way bigger than I could of imagined since the drunk driver had just been making deliveries for a major company before he hit me. He is highly recommended without a doubt and I appreciate everything Michael Maurer and his assistant Ms.Connie did for me, something that will never be forgotten!!"

Attorney Information
Overview
Michael Maurer is a trial lawyer with a rare, insider understanding of how personal injury claims are investigated, valued, and defended. Before representing severely injured clients, he spent years on the other side—defending the same kinds of claims for major insurers including GEICO and State Farm.
He has served as lead counsel in more than seventy-five jury trials. For over a decade, he has maintained board certification as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy—an ABA-accredited certification awarded to a small percentage of attorneys who demonstrate substantial trial experience and peer-reviewed excellence.
Earlier in Michael’s career, he worked as both a police officer and detective, investigating hundreds of accidents and death cases. While attending law school, he also worked as an insurance claims investigator, gaining firsthand knowledge of how claims are built—and how they are challenged.
This combination of trial experience and insurance defense background allows him to anticipate carrier strategies, identify weaknesses in defense positions, and present cases in a way that maximizes value. His reputation is reflected in a consistent AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-reviewed distinction for legal ability and ethics.
Today, that experience is used exclusively to represent severely injured individuals—applying the same strategies once used to defend claims to now hold insurers accountable.
