Separation and divorce are among the most stressful life events a person will go through. This time can be financially disruptive and cast uncertainty on the thing that matters the most to most people: family relationships. Thankfully, with the assistance of a good lawyer, this period of your life can be substantially less stressful than it would be otherwise. When clients hire me, they get to hand me the worry that weighs so heavily on them. With nine years of practice, certification by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in family law, and a commitment to hard work and attention to detail, I help my clients achieve the outcome they want: financial stability for themselves and their families, and protecting the relationships that matter most.

Our office works as a team to employ a variety of strategies that will most effectively achieve your goals. I work closely with my law partner, Johnathan Rhyne, who is also certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in family law. He has 39 years of experience helping families cope with separation and divorce, disagreements over custody, and family financial issues, both simple and complex. Our paralegal staff, Bobbie and Brandi, have over 30- and 20- years’ experience with our firm, respectively.

Mrs. Yoder graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a B.A. and from Campbell University School of Law with a J.D., summa cum laude. She has represented clients exclusively in family law, both at the trial level and on appeal, since beginning her practice with the firm in 2012. She was the 29th Judicial District (Lincoln and Cleveland Counties) Bar President in 2016 and currently serves as the secretary of the Lincolnton Rotary Club, of which she has been a member since 2014. She and her husband, a local Lutheran pastor, and their four children are the fifth generation in their family to live at their family homeplace and farm in western Lincoln County.
