Hired Law firm 2022Bob Meyers took on my divorce case after many would not. This was an extremely complicated case that had been badly botched by a well known Lebanon lawyer. Bob Meyers patiently sat with me and went thru all of my options. He immediately jumped into the case full force and the outcome was more than I could have imagined. He answers emails in less than 24 hours and almost always answers his telephone on the first attempt. The staff at BHMK is polite and extremely responsive. The office is beautiful and inviting. Bob never sugar coated any scenario and although the case never went to trial, Bob had me prepared, feeling confident and calm in an otherwise chaotic divorce.

Hired Law firm 2022Jessica Konrad is currently helping my family with our estate plans. She has been so gracious and thorough. Also, I referred a friend of mine to her for their estate planning and they raved about what great service and care she provided in helping them!

Hired Law firm 2020-2021I was referred to one of the partners in this firm by a well-known national practice to handle my drawn-out DR case. After one meeting to discuss the case I was completely at ease with the expertise of the firm and their professionalism. Additionally, they have consistently outperformed opposing counsel and their trial skills are the the best I've experienced. Highly recommended.

Consulted Law firm 2017-2021Brett Renzenbrink is very attentive to the needs of my small business. He always offers the most concise solutions as to not incur unnecessary fees. He is also very prompt to respond to requests. Not sure where we would be without him.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
