Verified ClientHired Attorney Edward C. Ahlers 2023I can’t say enough about the professionalism, compassion, and knowledge of Ed Ahlers. I became disabled and unable to work a job I loved, and worked at for more than 30 years. I needed someone to help me with the complicated process of an SSDI claim. I researched several attorneys but Mr. Ahlers stood out from the crowd. His reviews are 5 star and what his previous clients had to say about their interactions with Mr. Ahlers gave me hope that he could help me. Ed worked diligently on my case and kept me informed at all times. If you are in need of assistance with a disability claim, call Ed Ahlers, he is an excellent attorney.

Verified ClientHired Attorney Edward C. Ahlers 2022Finding out that I would have to permanently leave the workforce due to my disability was one of the hardest things I had to go through in my life. I was one of the few people that truly loved what they did for a living. So, I was very fortunate to find Ed Ahlers to handle my disability claim. I was referred to Ed Ahlers by another attorney that I knew who was very familiar with disability law. She said if she ever personally needed a disability attorney, she would only use Ed Ahlers. She then followed up by saying that he was one of the smartest people she knows. As it turns out, she was correct, and this was an excellent referral! From my first visit with Ed Ahlers, he was very generous with his time, easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable with the whole disability process. I realized that I was in great hands. As the claim progressed through all the phases, he was extremely thorough and detail oriented. He always spent the time to talk with me and he emailed me regularly with updates on my claim. I also worked closely with Barb, his paralegal who was amazing! She was very patient with all my questions and timely with responses in following up. Not only was my disability claim approved on the first try, but Ed Ahlers has helped understand what to expect after the approval. He has answered all the questions that I had and given me a lot of great suggestions as well. If you are considering making a disability claim, I highly advise that you don't do it alone and I highly recommend Ed Ahlers. He should be your only call!

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2021-2022Great firm! Every person I dealt with at Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA was kind and professional. I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Ahlers and the staff at Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA. I was lucky to be referred to Ed by friends and am so glad I followed their advice. Ed took the time to learn the specifics of my SSDI case himself rather than relying on an assistant to relay the facts. As someone who formerly worked with attorneys, I was pleasantly surprised to have this one-on-one interaction with him. Throughout the case, Ed was always my point of contact. He and Barbara did a great job keeping me informed of where we were in the process. Mine was not an open and shut case due to some unusual circumstances. Other attorneys would have shied away from helping me but Ed took on the challenge and won a decision in my favor. Thanks to Ed I am financially secure again.

Firm Information
Overview
When Marcus Kondritzer, Baron Gold, and Jerome Frank joined together in 1957 to form Kondritzer, Gold & Frank, they started more than just a law firm.
They started a tradition.
Kondritzer, Gold & Frank began their practice with an emphasis on representing injured people throughout the Cincinnati Metro Area and southwest Ohio in workers' compensation claims, social security disability, and personal injury. Focusing on these areas of the law, they quickly earned respect and an excellent reputation for the quality of their work and for the way they treated their clients. Our current partners, James Crowley, Edward Ahlers, and Neil Roth, all had the privilege to practice with these three great mentors, learning much from them about how to effectively represent injured or disabled people and, just as important, how to treat their clients with respect and dignity.
We listen to our clients as they tell us their needs and goals. We are responsive to their questions and concerns. We make ourselves available and easy to reach. We make whatever effort is necessary to make sure that our clients understand the law and the options that they have available and we keep our clients fully involved in the legal and decision-making processes.
Be a part of our tradition.
No case is too large. No client is too small.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
