My daughter who is out of town had the misfortune of receiving 2 tickets due to a Cleveland Metro Parks aggressive officer. Atty Garver had very good communication with us, even though we were from Mansfield, he met with the court and prosecutor and was able to dispose of these very favorably. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!!

Mr Garver is highly professional, relatable and works quickly and successfully. He negotiated a very much reduced penalty to a traffic violation situation which may have otherwise carried a serious outcome for me. My thanks for his professional ability and diligence.

Mr. Garver handled my case in a professional way and resolved my traffic violation case in a timely manner. After I received the traffic violation in Cleveland, Ohio I moved to Chicago, though I did not need to attend the traffic court in Ohio. Why should I drive all the way to Cleveland, Ohio when a tuff and professional lawyer such as Mr. Garver can represent me.

I was passing thru Ashland County, Ohio and received a citation on my way home to Kansas City, Missouri. I found Mr. Garver on the web and his knowledge with expertise of the legal system helped me reduce my citation with the courts. Mr. Garver would be my selection if you ever find yourself in Ashland County, OH with a traffic citation. His professionalism is bar none when it comes to the law of that area. Thanks again......!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
