Josh Payne earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, graduating cum laude with honors in his concentration of Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school, he sharpened his trial and oral advocacy skills as a member of the Jonathan M. Ault Mock Trial Team. He was also named to the Order of the Barristers, a highly selective honor society that recognizes the top advocates from law schools around the country who have demonstrated exceptional skill in trial and oral advocacy.
Josh’s legal journey began at Nurenberg Paris back in 2016 while he was pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the College of Wooster. His early experience at the firm confirmed his passion for litigation, prompting him to return as a law clerk during his third year of law school and to eventually join the team as an associate in 2021.
Known for his unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail, Josh is passionate about securing the best outcomes for his clients. When not working, Josh enjoys going to Guardians games, car shows, and spending time outdoors—hiking, white water kayaking, and camping with his wife, son, and dog, Monty.
