Donald has twice done legal paperwork for me... will, living will, etc. He is very professional and through. This time around he suggested several things to make it easier for my son to quickly have my home and cars put into his name upon my death. I really appreciated him helping me find avenues to help ease the struggles my son will have to face when dealing with all the things that must be done. I highly recommend Donald. I think that you will be more than satisfied with his legal knowledge and his desire to help you with issues we don't like to deal with but must.

Overview

For over 20 years, I have been living and practicing law in the communities of Butler County Ohio. I truly enjoy being in private practice, dedicating my practice to family law and helping over 2,800 clients in matters related to marriage, family and children. I also represent clients in the areas of wills and estate planning and landlord/tenant matters.

I strive to provide every one of my clients with honest, compassionate and effective representation at a reasonable fee. I keep your best interests in mind during every phase of representation.

Butler County is my home and I believe in developing strong communities and supporting the families that are part of my community. I grew up in Butler County and my father was a lawyer for 25 years and a judge for 20, former Butler County Common Pleas Court, Judge John Moser. I am proud of what my dad has accomplished for the community and the Butler County judicial system. I enjoy sharing stories about my dad and the history of the Butler County court system.

In my own professional practice, I am involved in the Butler County Bar Association serving many roles from President (2011-2012) to chairing a number of committees. Currently, I am on the Board of Trustees. In 2013, I received the Professionalism Award from the Butler County Bar Association in recognition of my service to the legal profession as an attorney and community leader.

I also serve as Magistrate in the Fairfield Municipal Court which helps me keep involved with the community, Fairfield, where I live and have my office.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
