Attorney Information
Overview
With 30 years of litigation experience, I provide practical, tailored counsel for complex business and individual legal matters.
As Managing Member of Foley Law, LLC, I advise businesses of all sizes, employers, employees, and individual clients on contract law, intellectual property, employment law, employee benefits, and commercial transactions.
I also represent businesses and individuals in contract disputes, construction law, property damage claims, property management, condominium association management, home owner association issues, insurance coverage disputes, and related litigation.
Business Law:
I advise business clients on entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, cyber law, investor relations, real estate negotiations and closings, insurance coverage, mergers and acquisitions, and capital market transactions aligned with their financial strategies.
Employment Law:
For more than 29 years, I have represented employers and employees in employment matters before Ohio state and federal courts including mediations and arbitrations. My work includes civil rights claims, wrongful termination, retaliation, separation agreement negotiations, social media issues, non-compete enforcement and defense, OSHA safety compliance, immigration sponsorships, job transfers, wage and hour compliance, grievance resolution, and collective bargaining matters. I also advise employers on labor relations, drafting and revising employee handbooks and policies, conducting Title VII investigations and auditing workplace policies for compliance and industry best practices.
Corporate Counsel
My prior senior legal roles at ProMedica and HCR ManorCare gave me deep experience in contracting, regulatory compliance, risk management, litigation, employment law, and employee benefit plans within the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.
As fractional general counsel, I help small and midsize businesses strengthen governance, manage risk, conduct proactive training, oversee litigation, complete due diligence, and address compliance needs. I also advise boards on strategic planning during leadership transitions and lead special projects for healthcare clients.
Mission:
Our mission is to provide businesses and individuals with strategic legal guidance that protects and advances their goals. We combine industry knowledge with practical solutions to help our clients evolve and thrive in a complex legal environment.
