Overview

Ty Mahaffey is originally from Niles Ohio and attended John F. Kennedy High School in Warren Ohio. He moved to Toledo to attend college at the University of Toledo in 1986 and made Toledo his permanent home. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Toledo. After working in the area of medicine for many years, he changed his career and was accepted to the University of Toledo College of Law in 1999. He graduated in 2002 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar that same year. He began in general private law practice in January of 2003. His practice areas include Bankruptcy, Family Law, Adult and Juvenile Criminal Law, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Probate, and Business Formation. He enjoys outdoor activities such as boating, fishing and traveling. A favorite past time is reading poetry and listening to classical music.

Ty founded Mahaffey & Associates in 2008.
