Hired Attorney 2025My family and I recently had the pleasure of working with Sarah in her Findlay, OH office to update our trust. She was recommended to us by our Financial Planner. Sarah was knowledgeable about addressing the changes we needed to have made to our existing documents based upon our changing family dynamic. Sarah was very approachable, listened to our situation, and she offered a clear timeline since our project did not have many moving pieces. We are pleased with her services and communication. We will return for any future updates if they become necessary.

Hired Attorney 2024Sarah is a kind and compassionate attorney. She listened to our needs related to our businesses and concerns for protecting our assets and advised us on the best way to ensure that our trust outlines care for our special needs child. We absolutely recommend her professional services to friends and family members.

Hired Attorney 2023I started out so impressed with Sarah Corney. She appeared to be really knowledgeable. She told me that I was to only connect with her and she would handle the issues. I told her that I was told that each day I didn’t sign the paperwork money would be added to my bill. She assured me that was not the case and we would deal with it in October. Friday I learned that I am penalized for $1,110.00 because I had not signed the papers. I’m 83 years old and this really hurt and it wasn’t necessary.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
