Review for Attorney Kathleen Adams I hired Kathleen Adams expecting professional, ethical, and compassionate legal representation during a very painful divorce involving emotional, verbal, and physical abuse. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. Ms. Adams failed to advocate for my safety or financial stability. Despite my lack of income and being under a doctor’s care following a serious car accident—and while undergoing regular cancer follow-ups—she refused to request emergency spousal support. Instead, she told me to “get a job” or “apply for a student loan” while my soon-to-be ex-husband continued enjoying his six-figure salary and bonuses. I was left with nothing. She also failed to address the financial abuse I endured, allowing my spouse to keep full control of income, tax returns, and marital assets without a fight. I repeatedly requested hearings and documentation, only to be ignored or met with hostility. My soon-to-be ex-husband continued to violate the basic protective order, and when I brought this to Ms. Adams’s attention, she would simply email his attorney stating I was “complaining” instead of addressing the violations. She dismissed my safety concerns, even advising me to give my abusive husband back his firearm. She continued to try to coerce me to return to an abusive home, and when I asked if she would give her daughter the same advice, she chuckled with her assistant Beverly and stated yes. That moment told me everything I needed to know. Despite providing medical documentation—including a CT scan, a letter from my doctor, and proof of my cancer follow-ups—she insisted I get a formal disability rating instead of advocating based on what was already available. I had to gather nearly all the documents and information myself, while still paying her thousands in legal fees. This experience left me financially devastated, emotionally traumatized, and legally unsupported. I would not recommend Kathleen Adams to anyone—especially if you’re experiencing abuse, have health concerns, or need a real advocate. She failed me on every level.
