Attorney Information

Overview

Chuck Richardson joined Richardson Richardson Boudreaux in 1986 as a law clerk while he attended college. After Baylor University and the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1986, Richardson continued his education at Tulsa University School of Law part-time and also worked full-time for the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office. He was hired as a Legal Intern in 1988 and received his Juris Doctorate from T.U. in 1989. After being licensed, Richardson was appointed Assistant District Attorney, a capacity he served in until 1991. During that time, he lost only one case and assisted in forming task forces within the D.A.'s office to assist the Tulsa Police Department in prosecuting crimes of burglary and armed robbery.

Richardson returned to Richardson Richardson Boudreaux in 1991 and served as a Junior Partner until 1994, when he was named Senior Partner. He practiced in the areas of labor law, medical malpractice, personal injury, employment law, and state and federal defense with an emphasis in business litigation and product liability. He has the largest jury verdicts in three counties in Oklahoma.

In June of 1998, Richardson was appointed by Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating to serve as Tulsa County District Attorney. During his appointment, Richardson implemented policies including increasing the recommendation on criminal sentencing. Richardson advocated being tough on crime and compassionate for victims, survivors and their families. His focus included more severe sentences and/or lengthier sentences for crimes involving violence, children, the elderly, drugs, robbery, and burglary. Richardson prosecuted as many cases as he could get his hands on and successfully received death penalty and life sentence verdicts in multiple cases. While serving as District Attorney, Richardson compiled a 100% conviction rate and his office had a conviction rate in excess of 95%.

In January of 1999, Richardson returned as a Senior Partner to the law firm of Richardson Richardson Boudreaux . He currently practices in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, personal injury, class actions, pharmaceutical, brain injuries, bad faith claims against insurance companies, surgical injuries and discrimination with an emphasis in litigation.

Richardson is a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church, served on the Steering Committee for Young Life, the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Board of Directors of Oklahoma Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association, Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, Kiwanis, and is forever honored in the National Association of Who's Who Among American Law Students.

He has his pick of Courts to choose from as he is a member of the Bar of the States of Oklahoma, and Texas, and is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, the Supreme Court of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
