Hired Law firm 2015-2025Looking for a lawyer who will work hard finding solutions for legal issues you might encounter? You've found him! Alex with Leahy Cox LLP is the man you need to see. Alex provided just the perfect document to assist with a passport dilemma I faced. He took the time to make things just right. Alex also helped my wife and myself develop a will that ensures the proper transfer of our property to our children when the time comes. Alex is honest and forthright. He is the one to see for your legal needs!

Consulted Law firm 2020I can't say enough good things about this firm. I was facing a high-conflict divorce that I wanted to keep out of court, and Mr. Gavriilidis gave me the advice and insight needed to do it. I'm sure there are many lawyers out there that would have asked for a retainer and tried to go to court for their own financial gain, but he instead helped me save thousands of dollars all while giving me excellent advice. Highly recommended.

Hired Law firm 2018-2020I highly recommend Leahy Cox, LLP. I have hired two attorneys from this firm, Kay Hyde-Patton and Alex Gavriilidis, for several family law/guardianship cases. I can't say enough positive things about them.Top notch, professional and genuinely care about their clients getting the best outcome. Most importantly they know the law and won't waste your time or money. When you're faced with a legal issue you need dependable, honest, experienced representation and that is what you will get with Leahy Cox, LLP.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
