Overview
With 20 years of experience as an insurance defense attorney, Virginia King, Esquire, is very familiar with the “other side.” In 2022, she opened King Law, LLC to represent the truly injured individuals whom she wants to help.
“The whole reason I started my own firm is that I’ve worked for other law firms, I’ve seen how they operate,” King said. “I don’t like the way some treat their clients. I like to have a more personal touch. I think that’s what people need.”
“A lot of lawyers do things status quo. I think that is doing a disservice to your clients, acting like you’re too busy to talk to clients during a case. That’s what I’m trying to differentiate. I’m the person calling. I’m the person talking you through your case.”
Virginia King is the founder and owner of ViKING Law, and personally reviews each case before agreeing to represent anyone. Her time is precious, so she only selects those individuals to represent whom she truly believes in.
Virginia's goal is to navigate the legal world and court system for the client so they do not have to. She earns the term "counselor" by providing guidance and reassurance to each client, calling, emailing and texting them back, and taking the time to explain each step of the process. This process takes time, so she does not waste time collecting everyone else's cases using billboards, buses and television ads. She does not believe in simply collecting cases only to cast them aside later. Each client is unique and treated as such.
“It’s the ability to assist people when they have absolutely no idea what they’re doing,” she said. “I can explain what are the most important aspects in a case in language they understand. It’s also incredibly rewarding to stand up to bullies when they can’t.”
And she’s delivered for her clients, recovering millions of dollars for clients who have suffered the most significant of injuries. Her passion for winning has led her to be named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2013, 2014, and 2016 through 2019. She’s also named to Super Lawyers from 2020 to 2024, a distinction given to only the top 2.5 percent of attorneys practicing in Pennsylvania. In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious Women Entrepreneurs Award by Best Vendor. Her firm is a My Base Guide “Military Trusted Member” and is a BBB Accredited Business.
After graduating from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business with honors, Virginia attended Temple University Beasley School of Law, graduating in 2005.
She currently resides in Bucks County with her husband, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and their two sons.
Virginia is also a member of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society ("LLS"), having lost her older sister, Tess King, to Leukemia in 2001. ViKING Law regularly donates, sponsors a team and participates in various LLS events, including LLS Light the Night and LLS Big Climb at the Lincoln Financial Field.
When Virginia is done binge-watching streaming shows, she is figuring out how to use her Cricut machine. She learned how to use a sewing machine at the beginning of the pandemic to make masks, which turned into her making homemade dolls that look creepy and terrifying but are very much loved by her young sons.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2023-2024Virginia has represented a few of my clients who were injured in auto related incidents. She was on the mark with every aspect of the case. She is empathetic, competent & professional. I am grateful for her time & focus. If you find yourself in the position and need to hire an attorney, I highly recommend her. She is the Best!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2019-2023I have used Virginia King for two consumer protection claims, one of which went to Court and she was able to get all of my money back in both. She explained the entire process from beginning to end, prepare me in case I had to testify, and helped calm my nerves when the companies took advantage of me. I would recommend her to anyone and will always refer to her when I need legal help.

Verified ClientConsulted Attorney 2022-2024Virginia King is what lawyers were before the practice of law became commercialized. She personally handles every aspect of the case from cradle to grave, so she knows everything about the case. This situational awareness is lost today at many larger firms where multiple attorneys and staff members are working on too many cases. To her clients, Virginia personally offers a kind and sympathetic ear, as well as practical recommendations and guidance through the litigation process. To defense lawyers representing businesses and insurance carriers, Virginia is well-respected as an honest, professional and tenacious litigator. She is viewed as a formidable opponent precisely because she spent decades representing businesses and insurance carriers, so she knows what keeps risk managers and insurance adjusters awake at night. She leverages this vast knowledge and experience to achieve her clients' goals. Across the spectrum, her clients and those attorneys adverse to her agree that Virginia King is smart, honest, professional, and tenacious. Those fortunate enough to have her take on their cases will find no better advocate in the world.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
