Hello Mark, it is John Leca. Hope you remember me. Last time I saw you you were trying to buy some walkie talkies, remember? I think you felt a little uncomfortable. I am not angry at you. You did your job using every dirty trick you could to win the case. I am not saying "dirty" in a demeaning manner. That is what Attorney's do, I get it. It has been what thirty years? I just want to tell you I have called out current Sheriff Rochelle Bilal many times to tell the truth about her lying after being asked about the death threats against me that she over heard. You had asked me if I would ever file a complaint about it because as I was being raped by the Police and City and FBI and District Attorney's Office I made many complaints. I am old now sixty six years and near the end of my life as many of us are huh? I even have the School District Police still trying to retaliate me after all these years over Pa RELIA but anyway I get the whole thing and do think you are a good attorney so I gave you five stars even though you represented the City of Philadelphia. It was a lot of dirty business and the fact that the City never provided complete discovery in a Federal Lawsuit is well despicable. The Federal Judge Robert Kelly restricting a government witness testimony and the argument that the PAC does not exist? Lol I guess you asking me about my affair with the donut girl and "Mr. Leca did you go home and report to your wife that you were having an affair with the donut girl may have been effective since the head juror was a young female". I get it to try and destroy my credibility and it is a standard tactic. Hey you won the case but it was interesting to hear IAD Lt Banach testify that everything I reported to them about Police corruption and wrong doing was FACT. Do you think the jury believed that the Police Department just gave me a pat on the back for reporting all their dirty business? Hey you even got to make me file bankruptcy for court costs, sweet and the PFFCU left it on my credit record years past the legal time. I had to make a complaint to get it removed by the reporting agencies. Anyway things happen and it is what it is. Is it over yet? I am still breathing so.........take care. BTU Big Thumbs Up. John.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
