My partner hired Mr. Rushie for 3 zoning issues, one of them for a property I share ownership of. Mr. Rushie was the most unprofessional lawyer I've ever encountered. He failed to perform the work he paid for and refused to return the $1000 he had taken from my company.

I don’t know where these negative reviews about Jordan are coming from? I’ve known Jordan for over 8 years now both personally and professionally and have always known him to be one of the hardest working individuals I’ve ever met. His attention to detail and work ethic are second to none and took a personal approach in my case as he worked tirelessly to make sure every T was crossed. He left no stone unturned and to give you an example I remember getting a call at 11 o’clock at night to remind me of specific details he had found out that day and our plan going forward. Who does that?? Someone who actually cares and gives a damn, that’s who and that’s what you want in an attorney, someone who cares, cause most people don’t. I recommend Jordan with pride and without reservation. Do yourself a favor, if you want an attorney Who will take a personal approach in your case with a caring attitude then hire a Jordan, you won’t be sorry.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
