Hired Attorney 2006-2009Year ago I contacted Dina Ronsayro, unfortunately, over my divorce. She was clear and compassionate in proceeding with everything. It took time for my ex and me to work through things, and Dina was patient, checking-in periodically, and finally even ended up representing both of us during the filing. While I don't celebrate that phase of my life, Dina's understanding, advice and representation provided relief during the process.

Hired Attorney 2024-2025We had an outstanding experience with Dina Ronsayro as our personal injury attorney. We had a lawsuit that involved beloved neighbors and she handled what could have been a relationship-ending situation with such grace and compassion, there was never a moment where it was awkward or uncomfortable. Regarding the legal/financial aspects, Dina was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable to make sure we understood every step of the process. In regards to advocacy, Dina was second to none. We had significant medical bills and our insurance was not the easiest to work with. Dina ensured that we were covered in every aspect and even fought for us to be refunded when our PT overcharged us. While it was a tragedy that brought us to Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, Dina made it an easy and stressless process and we will forever be grateful to her.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
