Consulted Law firm 2022I had an issues with my children's father that i felt i need to seek legal advice. I called Beroes Law and spoke with Julia and she was very understanding, she took time to listen and got to the "niddy gridy" of things for me! Very professional practice!

Hired Law firm 2020-2021Elizabeth and Julie represented me for a custody case against my ex wife. This case was as high conflict as a custody case could possibly come. They even stated at the beginning when we came to them that this was one of the worst cases of parental alienation they had ever seen in their combined 40+ years of family law. We even had some serious issues that arouse outside of normal business hours and Elizabeth answered her phone during all of those instances regardless of the time of day or night. They ended up winning me full custody. These ladies don’t take any BS and will push hard for what they believe is the best course of action based on their decades of family law experience. Their paralegal, Shanice, was wonderful throughout the process as well. Thank you ladies for all your hard work! -Adam and Caroline

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
