Russell Turner | Attorney at Law

Russell Turner brings extensive legal knowledge and a strong sense of purpose to his work at Berger and Green. Originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Russell has dedicated his career to advocating for individuals in need, with a particular focus on Social Security Disability law.

He began his academic career at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science in 2014. The following year, he completed a paralegal certificate at Saint Francis University, gaining practical skills that would shape his future legal career.

Russell earned his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2019. While there, he worked with the Civil Rights Clinic, where he concentrated on expungements and pardons, helping underserved individuals navigate the legal system. His commitment to public service earned him a Summer Fellowship in 2018 with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Center.

After passing the bar, Russell began practicing at Very Law PLLC, where he handled a broad range of legal matters. In 2021, he joined Neighborhood Legal Services, representing clients seeking Social Security Disability benefits. This work solidified his passion for helping individuals secure the support they need during difficult times.

Russell continues that mission at Berger and Green, where he represents clients in both Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claims. He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), actively contributing to the legal community.

A consistent recipient of professional recognition, Russell has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 through 2024. His clients appreciate his clear communication, compassionate approach, and deep commitment to achieving results. Russell is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in Social Security courts nationwide.
