For 17 months I communicated with an attorney twice, the rest of the time was through a secretary. I received a partially favorable decision which in the end meant they changed EOD to the same day as the award which meant the 17 months of waiting with zero income amounted in no backpay, not only that, I was informed that I had to wait an additional 5 months before I could collect any benefit which because of the date of award which was the 2nd of the month I had to wait the rest of that month before the 5 month period would begin, This is what happened to me and these people were my lawyers but dumped me when I needed their help the most. I wanted to appeal, my attorney advised against it, I pushed and she responded with take your decision, it's a gift and most likely they will take everything away at the hearing and i'd have to start over, then she dropped me as a client, that was the second time I spoke to her throughout the proceeding. It turns out that they only fight for their client if they don't have to appear in front of a judge at an appeal where their client received partial benefits as I believe she didn't want to hurt any further cases she might bring or tarnish her super lawyer rating. If I am wrong I welcome the phone call to explain how it was gift spending 22 total months penniless and in debt so far I have not nor will I recover before death. At least if I'd appealed and lost it would have meant something, I was awarded 1 month of SSI backpay they took their 25% for fees. I have learned so much about the time period that my case was under review which was during the pandemic, had any investigation been done they would have found what I found and they may have been able to better the system instead they chose to let it continue as is because they benefit from a system that's broken and backlogged, there is zero reason for the 2nd step of the process which is reconsideration to last 17 months and lawyers should be fighting that. I hope they have the guts to post this and explain to future clients that I am wrong about everything I've said, I welcome the debate. I'm sure they have serviced their clients well and got them everything they were looking for but did they get it or did the system just follow its course, make the person wait two years and pay them off? What did they do for you that got you the award? Look at your case, ask for your entire record to see what they contributed, I know they weren't in contact like people claim here and if they were it wasn't an attorney, that's my experience and I have 75 emails that back it up, did anyone get the direct contact to their attorney, email or number? Bet you didn't, you might think that you had it but no dice, unless you thought their name was Cheryl? That's who I thought was my attorney for the first 3 months. They should have tried harder, apparently I wasn't worth the effort. I'm sure they could care less of my opinion but hopefully one of them sees my point and realizes that as a super 8 law firm they only have 3 reviews, from 2020! I am sure I will find the others as this will end up there as well, but I won't judge this site, I added some personal info yes, I did it so there is truth involved and so that people will learn from my mistake. If they don't receive this review then what's the point of this site, people need help, they come here for advice, let them read my experience, it cannot be disputed and if it is, I'll provide you with the case information, privately of course but you can form your own opinion. Why isn't there a box for NO for the recommendation? What's the point? Share my name with them if you'd like.
