When I engaged M&T I thought my divorce would go relatively smoothly, but my x-wife's actions ensured that was not the case. Things become difficult immediately after I filed for divorce, and my "A-team" at M&T was ready for the fight, one I never wanted to fight. My lead attorney Robin was passionate about my case. She genuinely wanted the best outcome for me. Frankly, she fought harder for me on several things than I fought for myself. But there wasn't just Robin fighting for me, she had an amazing Paralegal named Ginger in the control booth, ensuring that every document was collected, labeled and timely filed. She was critical to Robin's on-the-field efforts. Helping Robin was Joann, who provided a seasoned and level-headed sounding board for Robin's legal strategy and tactics. The three people on my team worked together like a well-oiled machine. I can tell they have great respect for each other, and that they are friends. They each served an important and integral roll in my case. While I was unlucky to experience the failure of my marriage, I was very lucky to have Robin, Ginger and Joann in my corner. Unfortunately, I have several friends who have gone through or are currently going through a divorce and I have talked to them extensively about their experience with their legal team. When looking for a law firm at the beginning of my divorce ,I searched divorce lawyers and Meriwather and Tharp came up. After looking at several firms websites, I went back to Meriwether and Tharp and called them. I was very fortunate to be put through to David Beaudry. David and his entire team worked very closely with me through out the very long divorce process. Whenever I had an issue or concern either David or another member of the firm, always put me at ease. David knows divorce law and is an excellent negotiator and litigator. My divorce ended with a jury trial ,and if it hadn't been for david's knowledge , demeanor, and trial experience my results would not have been as good as they were. No one really wins in a divorce, but I do feel I won and only because of David and his firm. Joann Sharp was my attorney and I could not have possibly asked for a better attorney or person. I had an extremely difficult divorce and child custody case that was rather unique and Joanne Brown Sharp and Margaret Simpson both did an excellent job representing me. Should be NEGATIVE stars. Charlotte and Meriwether and Tharpe have been, without question, the worst money I've ever spent in my entire life. And, not just a "little bit" of money, over $50K for me to give up EVERYTHING that was fair to fight for, while my ex-wife gave up nothing. Charlotte did not fight for me, period. Not at all. She looked for every opportunity for me to make concessions, while demanding no concessions from my ex. This experience was a complete and total scam - with the sole intent of separating me from as much of my hard-earned/saved money as they possibly could. Period. They did not "represent" me at all in mediation, flat-out lied to me about "saving money by doing their jobs" around my finances and an initial offer, and happily filed a lien against me knowing full well that I know EXACTLY what they did - i.e., extorted money from me while providing no value whatsoever. Do the right thing for yourself - hire someone else. Do not bother with this scam of an organization. They represent the EXACT thing that people despise about lawyers - they are dishonest scam artists, only interested in taking your money, and lots of it.

This firm provided me with no support during my divorce proceedings, They provided no defense to my situation and allowed my wife's attorney to walk all over me and whatever strategy they had prepared for me in there head. because nothing was ever discussed with me regarding plans to help me to receive a good outcome. The money I spent to retain this law firm was not worth .01 Cent. The lawyer that represented me had very little court room knowledge and experience which the judge would acknowledge every time he attempted to speak, referring to laws that no longer exist. My lawyer never challenged the opposing attorney or spoke positive on my behalf. I felt the weight of the world on my shoulder's in a court room for the first time in my life with paid representation and no support. I believe my lawyer was just as frighten as I was because his presents was surely missing. My big mistake was hiring this firm who did absolutely nothing for me but filed an answer on my behalf for $6,000. My divorce was settled at a temporary child support hearing because my lawyer "blurted out to the courtroom that he no longer wanted to represent me any longer" The judge rapa minded him and told him there are certain protocols that must be followed if you wish to drop a client and that this is not how to dismiss a client in the middle of his preceding's. Wow! Who is this lawyer and just how long has he been an attorney? This firm did not appoint me the cream of the crop. I was bamboozled into thinking I had presentation but really not. Just given someone to keep the meter running. I have voiced my concerns to one of the partners who assured me that she would get with the partners to discuses our outcome, but to no avail she is refusing my calls. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking a divorce and custody of their children. I plan to file a report with the better business bureau.

I would never recommend this business. How it?s conducted and the introduction and then signing you randomly to an attorney and not being able to interview them before ? not cool. Also you charge way to much to communicate back and forth. So thankful I found someone else to represent me.

This law firm does not provide services that I would recommend. I do not feel that I had proper representation for my divorce. I would have expected some guidance through this process. Instead, this team allowed the clock to run and my divorce cost of over $30,000. If you are looking for proper representation, clear guidance and communication (other than invoices), I would recommend you seek one of Forsyth Counties other family attorney groups.

Lolita Beyah was my attorney but was absolutely terrible. My ex husband did not have an attorney and she acted as his at times. She never went over the papers, I had to proofread and catch it myself. She never went over any of the papers, I had to read it and try and interpret it myself. She stayed busy during our whole appointment and never once sat down with us. I caught something I hadn?t agreed to in the papers and said she ?had to protect her name.? My divorce was completely uncontested and they charged me thousands. I spent over a thousand fighting her to fight for me. She stayed on the phone longer trying to give me personal advice, charged for that. I got so screwed over in the divorce by my OWN attorney. Complaining won?t do you any good, they?ll say your divorce is complete ?and we wish you the very best.? I used to deliver to this office for years and had a good working relationship with these people, that means nothing. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking for an attorney that will actually have your best interests at heart.

Absolutely horrible experience! I was accused of child abuse for threatening to administer a spanking and ADAM STEIN of this firm took my case,;understanding that I DID NOT AGREE THAT the use of corporal punishment in my home was abuse..... HE LIED....my attorney, ADAM STEIN spoke to other counsel in the case as if I''d had some break through that the normal consequences I'd given my child were "abusive", and that I'd seen the error of my ways, WHEN THAT WAS NEVER MY DEFENSE OR TAKE ON WHAT HAD HAPPENED! This lawyer dripped me dry for close to $17,000 before I cut him off, it was only then that I found out that he'd made comments about me to the other counsel involved in my case (SAAG, Child Attorney, GAL) that cast me as "out of touch with reality." I couldn't have paid for A MORE HARMFUL ATTORNEY in Hall County. I would have never known, had I not released him as counsel and requested my FULL file (which took a month to get, and is still incomplete). BUYER BEWARE....THE OTHER ATTORNEY'S YOU TALK TO, outside of Meriwether & Tharp, HAVE MORE TO OFFER, NO MATTER WHAT! What this attorney did, SHOULD be considered criminal and if I weren't BROKE after dealing with him, I'd pursue him for damages in court. This law practice makes me ashamed to say I live in America, land of the free, home of the brave, where lawyers sell one thing but deliver another, and the Court swallows it, HOOK, LINE AND SINKER.

I hired Meriwether and Tharp to represent me in a "simple" modification action. My ex-husband was hiding his income and bonus incentives in an effort to lower his child support. My team performed an extensive income analysis to discover my ex was making 3X more than at the time of the divorce. During their thorough investigation, my team discovered that I was owed monies in the past that I was due under the original decree. The opposing side was extremely litigious and made every effort to increase the litigation costs, Meriwether and Tharp stayed professional and stayed focus on obtaining a great result for me and my girls. I would highly recommend Meriwether and Tharp they are extremely thorough and always available to answer my questions.

I wouldn't hire this law firm if they were the last law firm in Orlando. I would have been better off going into court knowing nothing by myself. They pretty much took my money and did nothing that they promised even after I asked whether the put in certain motions they or did not. They ruined my case and drop me at the end, the reason unbeknownst to me

I was very unhappy with the representation I received both in court and out of the court room. I also don't believe that the advise I was given was in any way in my best interest.
