Founder Jedediah "Jed" Main is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, a distinction held by only a small percentage of attorneys in the state. He specializes in commercial vehicle and trucking accidents and handles serious and catastrophic injury cases of all kinds, including car and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, brain and spinal cord injuries, and premises liability.
Commercial truck cases are the heart of the practice. They are governed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, often involve multiple insurers and layered corporate defendants, and turn on evidence the trucking company controls, including driver logs and electronic data that can disappear within days if no one moves quickly to preserve it. Jed is a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and The National Trial Lawyers has named him a Top 10 Trucking Trial Lawyer in Florida every year since 2022.
Jed has been a trial lawyer for more than two decades. He began as a prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which covers Orange County, then spent years defending insurance companies before founding The Main Law Firm in 2010 to represent injured people. He knows how adjusters value a claim and how the defense builds a file, because that used to be his job.
He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Florida Super Lawyers. Within the Florida Justice Association he serves on the Board of Directors and the PAC Board of Trustees and sits on the Legislative Committee. He has served as faculty at the FJA's Al J. Cone Trial Advocacy Institute for three consecutive years, teaching depositions, cross-examination, and closing argument to other trial lawyers.
The firm is intentionally small. Jed personally oversees every case, and every client has his cell phone number and direct access to him. Most cases settle without ever reaching a courtroom, and they settle for more when the insurance company knows your lawyer is prepared to try the case.
Consultations are free and cases are handled on a contingency-fee basis, meaning there is no fee unless the firm recovers compensation.
