Elijah Settlemyre joined Trammell, Adkins & Ward, P.C. as an associate in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Settlemyre practiced in Greeneville, Tennessee and more broadly throughout the Tri-Cities, Tennessee region. He specializes in civil litigation focusing primarily in the areas of insurance and self-insured defense litigation involving automobile and trucking accidents, home owners’ claims, products liability, governmental tort liability, healthcare liability, commercial losses, fire and casualty, general liability, defense of fraud litigation as well as insurance coverage and claims litigation. He also has experience in the areas of estate planning and probate. Mr. Settlemyre has successfully represented clients in jury and non-jury trials throughout Tennessee and has handled appeals in both the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Settlemyre is an active member of Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations as well as the Defense Research Institute (DRI). He previously served as the vice-president of the Greene County Bar Association.

Elijah is a native of Loudon, Tennessee and currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee where he avidly follows the University of Tennessee basketball and football programs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, visiting local historical sites, and CrossFit.
