Verified ClientHired Law firm 2021-2022Great firm! Every person I dealt with at Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA was kind and professional. I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Ahlers and the staff at Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA. I was lucky to be referred to Ed by friends and am so glad I followed their advice. Ed took the time to learn the specifics of my SSDI case himself rather than relying on an assistant to relay the facts. As someone who formerly worked with attorneys, I was pleasantly surprised to have this one-on-one interaction with him. Throughout the case, Ed was always my point of contact. He and Barbara did a great job keeping me informed of where we were in the process. Mine was not an open and shut case due to some unusual circumstances. Other attorneys would have shied away from helping me but Ed took on the challenge and won a decision in my favor. Thanks to Ed I am financially secure again.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2021-2022Wonderful job. Ed Ahlers handled my disability claim after I was denied twice. Mr. Ahlers is extremely detailed, thorough and professional. The amount of time he spent working on my claim was extensive yet he was always quick to respond/answer all of my emails and calls. I could not have asked for a harder working advocate. Ed made what is surely a difficult and often disheartening experience much less stressful for me. I was extremely nervous about my hearing and worried about the outcome. Ed spent several hours going through details and preparing me for the hearing process. I highly recommend Mr Ahlers, he is worth so much more than the percentage designated.

Hired Law firm 2021-2023Ed Ahlers did an excellent job and won both my Social Security Disability Claim and my Long Term Disability Claim. Ed was great to work with. He is very personable and kind. He is very detailed as well. Ed did a lot of work on my claims and was honest and to the point when speaking with me. I appreciate all of the knowledge that he shared with me as we went through the process. He always kept me informed and was quick in responding to any questions that I had. I wouldn't think twice about hiring Ed again. He was successful where I'm not sure that others would've been.

Firm Information
Overview
When Marcus Kondritzer, Baron Gold, and Jerome Frank joined together in 1957 to form Kondritzer, Gold & Frank, they started more than just a law firm.
They started a tradition.
Kondritzer, Gold & Frank began their practice with an emphasis on representing injured people throughout the Cincinnati Metro Area and southwest Ohio in workers' compensation claims, social security disability, and personal injury. Focusing on these areas of the law, they quickly earned respect and an excellent reputation for the quality of their work and for the way they treated their clients. Our current partners, James Crowley, Edward Ahlers, and Neil Roth, all had the privilege to practice with these three great mentors, learning much from them about how to effectively represent injured or disabled people and, just as important, how to treat their clients with respect and dignity.
We listen to our clients as they tell us their needs and goals. We are responsive to their questions and concerns. We make ourselves available and easy to reach. We make whatever effort is necessary to make sure that our clients understand the law and the options that they have available and we keep our clients fully involved in the legal and decision-making processes.
Be a part of our tradition.
No case is too large. No client is too small.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
