I had a particularly distressing dispute with a big box store. The company wouldn't respond to me, but Mr. Breeden and his team got their attention and negotiated a reasonable settlement. It wasn't as much as I was demanding, but it covered my losses plus a little more. Thanks, Tom, for the great work.

Needed assistance with major car dealership legal issue and Mr. Breeden was effective and assertive. He did such a great job I have hired him for another legal issue that I need assistance with.

Mr. Bereden was very direct, very upfront on what he come deliver and seeing how he handled my situation in the time he did shows me he does this in his sleep. I was and still am well pleased how he handles hit clients that need and seek help, because you cannot fake being authentic. Thanks Mr. Bereden

Mr. Thomas R. Breeden, P.C., an his team of legal professionals, examined my (self-gathered) evidence, and provided me with viable courses of action (COA’s), each with comparable retention fees. Upon my acceptance of the terms and conditions; he actively took my case, which in-turn reduced my stress / anxiety levels. He (Tom) executed / deployed his (stern) legal weaponry to secure results when I was up against a Third-party LLC subcontractor hired by a Fortune 500 Company. In the later months from August 2022 til November 2022 seems all lines of verbal communication, as well as written communication (emails) were fractured or deteriorating. Shortly after issuance of the (stern) communication - the very next day - a person from the Third-Party LLC and separately a person from the Fortune 500 Company eagerly phoned me to complete the transaction. Both, proactively kept me abreast of project progression and provided a firm completion date, of which they met. Transaction completed! Thanks Tom. Sincerely, Ronald G., United States Air Force, (Retired)

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
