Unfortunately, to gain leverage in the dispute, my family member filed a Domestic Violence Restraining Order against me. Marc reviewed all our evidence with us and informed us that one option was to file restraining orders against my family member and their partner, which we did given their long history of abusive behavior. We secured temporary restraining orders against them to protect ourselves and our animals.
