Unfortunately I found myself facing a daunting situation which required legal services. I originally utilized my workplace provided legal service benefits but quickly realized I was not confident in the guidance or oversight being provided and was facing a decision to seek out alternate services. Mr. Bruneman picked up the case and quickly became my advocate. His guidance and expertise were unparalleled and his support gave me the confidence to press forward. The outcome was significantly more favorable than my expectations and that was all due to Mr. Bruneman's experience, preparation and no-nonsense leadership.

Steve and his paralegal Jaime became a part of my "team". I really feel like we worked together towards a common goal, which resulted in the outcome I was hoping for. I would strongly recommend Bruneman Law to anyone going through a divorce or custody battle.

To say I was just satisfied with the result by Steve Bruneman's work would be an understatement. I have totally satisfied with the final result provided by Bruneman Law. Mr. Bruneman is a very effective, experienced and knowledgeable litigator. I consider myself lucky to have Bruneman Law represent me and the interest of my child. As a parent himself, Mr. Bruneman can empathize with parental anguish of those who are going through legal challenges in family court system(s). Steve Bruneman is passionate about his work. He is very detailed and diligent in his preparations. He answered every question I had. His guidance provided me with a sense of peace during the legal battle, which, for any parent, can be daunting, to say the least. I have an exceptionally high opinion of Steve Bruneman and Jaime Dickerson as a team. Both of them kept me in the loop and promptly notified me of any progress and / or change. Reaching them was easy, whether through email, text or phone. I found them both to be decent people whose genuine concerns over my case was comforting to know during my time of crisis. I foresee using Bruneman Law firm exclusively for any, and all, legal issues in the future. Any parent can rest easy if Steve Bruneman is able to represent them.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
