Consulted Law firm 2023I had a bad experience with a law firm recently. After a hit and run accident, they did not make any effort to find the insurance information of the other driver involved in the incident using the plate information I had obtained. Instead, they repeatedly tried to persuade me to make a claim with my own insurance company. I asked for a couple of days to obtain the other driver's insurance details on my own and once I did, I filed a claim with that company. However, the lawyer assigned to my case, Jules, refused to work with me, citing the reason as my rescheduling a chiropractor appointment from Tuesday the 14th to Thursday the 16th. This explanation didn't make sense, and it was clear that he was unhappy with my decision not to follow his advice of claiming through my own insurance. In my opinion, this law firm is more concerned with their own financial gain than providing quality service to their clients. I would advise others to avoid this law firm.

Hired Law firm 2007-2019Look no further - this is the lawyer you want in your corner! I have been a client of Jules D'Alessandro for several years now. He has been instrumental in helping me with several of my small businesses, as well as 2 motor vehicle accident cases over the years. Jules and his team (Laurie is THE best) are simply the best in the business! The team has excellent communication, fast responses, and you speak to real people who even remember your kids names. You cannot ask for better, more personalized service! Plus, Jules is as real as it gets! He is 100% the one you want in your corner! If you are looking for an attorney that will get to the point, get you results fast, and communicate efficiently - you found him. Normally dealing with lawyers can be a long and painful process but I can say that every time I have had to call or visit Jules' office it's always a pleasure! Look no further!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
