Terry G. Chasteen - Greenville, SC

BE WARNED realtors and potential clients: I am not one to normally leave reviews, but I had the appalling experience of dealing with Terry Chasteen and receptionist Sally. I left this office feeling utterly disrespected. My husband and I arrived 20 mins before our appointment. Like reasonable people we parked our car and since it was a beautiful day we walked around the block while waiting for our appointment time. The receptionist came outside appearing very angry essentially accusing us of using their parking lot for downtown parking. No apologies were made when we clarified we were actually clients. Our realtor when she arrived also disclosed she had experienced unprofessional conduct from the same receptionist in earlier that morning. My father who was present during the closing made Terry aware of how we all felt highly uncomfortable with how she had treated us. To our shock, he made no apology, became extremely agitated/defensive, and raised his voice at my father, got in his face, and called him entitled. Our realtor during this altercation told Terry that she would encourage other realtors around Greenville to not use his office to which he replied “Big deal, I’m pretty retired anyways so I don’t care”. The whole experience left us shaken, feeling disrespected, and appalled that a professional office would ever behave this way. Additionally, he showed up for closing in jeans, the AC didn’t appear to work, and the whole office appeared dirty/outdated and smelled musty. I have been to other law offices in Greenville that are highly professional, and it is well worth it to consider bringing your business elsewhere for a pleasant experience.
