Our experience with Bill Yarborough was absolutely amazing! My daughter's father was sentenced to life in prison, but Bill did not give up. He continued to fight for his sentence to be reduced, or for him to be released. After his continuous efforts, finally yesterday after 6 years in prison, he was released. Bill is so compassionate and really cares about his clients. He sees us as his family, not just another case. I appreciate all he has done to make all of our lives better. I recommend this law firm to everyone. Thanks Bill!

Mr. Yarborough represented me in 2017 after a short but furious stint with the criminal justice system. After a difficult transition from the military and dealing with substance abuse, Mr. Yarborough not only worked towards the best outcome of my criminal case but cared greatly on my recovery and getting me the help I needed. Bill is a huge advocate for veterans and is a community asset I would want representing me again if ever needed. Can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me and how far my life has come for it.

I retained Mr. Yarbrough about 3 months ago to file paperwork on my behalf as of this date he has not filed any paperwork or made any effort in doing what he was hired to do the only thing he has done was provide me with false and misleading information including a promise of full refund for services not rendered I am highly dissatisfied with his services and do not recommend him for anything period.

I had a wonderful experience and William Yarborough did a wonderful job representing my husband. I would recommend him to anyone as a criminal defense attorney. The staff takes the time to deal with each case and cares what happens to the client.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
