Overview
I am Tucker James Volesky, and from my firm, Tucker James Volesky, Attorney at Law, in Mitchell, South Dakota, I represent individuals across the state in criminal defense, personal injury and civil litigation matters. I understand that legal challenges can be overwhelming, whether they involve a serious criminal charge, a family law dispute or injuries caused by someone else’s negligence. My goal is to guide clients through those challenges while advocating firmly on their behalf.
I received my law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion and was admitted to practice law in South Dakota in 2019. Since then, I have been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. These admissions allow me to represent clients at multiple levels of the judicial system and pursue justice wherever their cases may lead.
My practice includes defending individuals facing criminal charges such as DUI/DWI, assault, sex offenses and other serious allegations. I also handle personal injury cases involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, slip-and-fall incidents and premises liability. In addition, I work with clients on family law matters, including divorce, helping them protect their interests and move forward with confidence.
Litigation and trial advocacy are central to my work. I have experience handling complex civil matters and appeals, including cases presented before the South Dakota Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. I approach each case with careful preparation and a commitment to achieving meaningful results for the people I represent.
While my Mitchell office allows me to serve clients in the surrounding region, my practice extends across South Dakota, including Sioux Falls, Huron, Brookings, Watertown, Madison, Miller and Redfield. I remain dedicated to providing dependable legal representation and helping clients move forward when they need it most.
