    Hired Law firm 2021-2022
This man is a disgrace to law. He just let my buddy get taken to the cleaners in a divorce settlement. At the end of it my friend didn’t even know if he was divorced or not. That’s how little communication Mr. Geyer provides. After retaining Mr. Geyer, his wife became friends with my friends ex-wife… Seems pretty pretty coincidental. When asked about it Mr. Geyer claimed he had no knowledge of a relationship but we have proof in a picture because I thought they could cover their tracks using snail mail. Luckily the post office takes pictures all incoming mail. My friend‘s wife has refused to work for the last 16 years. She has threatened the lives of everyone in her life. She was rewarded custody and an opportunity to buy the house for half it’s worth and she gets to keep the family business that my friend told Mr. Geyer flat out that she refuses to pay taxes on. So basically my friend was left with getting to see his children when two of them don’t show up because his ex-wife does not have to abide by court orders for some reason. I am cashing out crypto that I was going to use to get him a second lawyer to help Mr. Geyer because he seemed inapt . Instead I’m going to use that money to get my friend a lawyer to look into the malfez and going on and what went on during this whole proceeding. As soon as he was paid in full he no longer cared. Anyone that would hire him would be making a mistake. Anyone that lets him work at the firm should be considered very questionable because if they allow these behaviors from Mr. geyer it’s quite the possibility that it’s the whole firm. Also I helped him pay for mr. geyer

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
