Rachel Melissa Ruth Weitzel - Chattanooga, TN

Ms. Weitzel has been practicing law since 2023 and joined The McMahan Law Firm in March 2025. Licensed in Tennessee, she focuses her practice on workers’ compensation claims, helping injured workers understand their rights and pursue the benefits they may deserve. Her work reflects a strong commitment to supporting individuals through some of the most difficult times in their lives, guiding them with compassion and determination.

Melissa earned her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, an experience that fostered her commitment to advocacy and systemic change. Prior to law school, Melissa completed her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History at Mississippi State University. Her academic background, combined with her passion for Workers’ Rights, has given her a deep understanding of the challenges injured employees face.

She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Chattanooga Bar Association, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Through her involvement in these organizations, Melissa stays connected to the legal community and continues to expand her knowledge to better serve her clients.
