Hired Law firm 2019-2024In a very uncertain and scary time in my life, I had to make the hard choice to file a Chapter 13. One of the hardest things I have had to do. However, Dustin Granger made this process painless. He walked me through every step and has been there to answer any questions over the last 4 years. I am approaching the end and I could not be happier. Thank you to Dustin, Mark and the entire staff.

Hired Law firm 2017-2023I told him I lost my job and needed an extension and was recently hospitalized but he allowed the court to dismiss my case and then 3 weeks later my car was repossessed. He just sent me a letter of the judgement. I started off with one lawyer and had him for a while, then never saw him again I assume he left, I later asked and the office sated he was still there, so no explanation on why my case was turned over to the other attorney, very poor communication. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY!!!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
