Hired Attorney Timothy Grant Elrod 2025I’ve seen Tim Elrod around for years helping out and giving back with high school football. When I got in a wreck, I called him, and I’m so glad I did. I was honestly blown away by how well he and his office handled everything. Talking to the insurance company on my own got me nowhere, but once Tim got involved, things actually started moving. Total night and day difference. He took care of it, no stress. Good guy and great lawyer. I recommend OEB Law to anyone who needs an outstanding lawyer!!

Hired Attorney Michael Stephen Bernard 2021-2022Michael helped me out of a jam. I was involved in an accident at a box store. I've never sued anyone, I'm not the sort of person that takes the stuff lightly. After a hard fall and 5 months of physical therapy, Michael and his staff helped me navigate the corporate loop holes of the box store. He was easy to talk to and returned my calls and answered my questions. He stayed on track. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him someone going through a legal nightmare. He is a stand up guy.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
