Hired Law firm 2022-2023I would like to thank you for the personal support you gave us during our time with you. Professional as well as personal. Very thorough in letting us know what was going on in our case and explained things to us in layman terms. I would recommend this law firm to everyone seeking help. Thank you again for helping my family.

Hired Law firm 2021-2022I could not have asked for a better result. From day one, Joe gave me 1st class experience and professionalism. 1 on 1 phone calls and updates on my case. I consider Mr. Costner my family’s attorney, and he will be my first and only call should I ever need his services again. The man works magic! Amy is great as well! I recently became a father and she is writing our will for our daughter. Joe Costner is class, knows the law and will work tirelessly to put your best interest first and give you the best possible outcome he can. I cannot recommend him and his firm enough. BEST attorneys in Blount County hands down!

Hired Law firm 2022Andy Long is the go to man. Had 3 traffic violations and he was able to get all 3 dismissed (which is a lot easier said than done considering my record). Very quick response time, very friendly attorney, and most importantly a man of his word. His professionalism is apparent all throughout his work. I would definetly reccomend him and his firm to anyone who is in need of assistance in any legal matters.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
