    Consulted Law firm 2019
I don't know what the deal is with this lawyer Renee in the Memphis, Tn office but she has NO BUSINESS being in the leading role for the Memphis branch of this law firm. She is SO rude and she treats her employees in such a disrespectful manner. I think that whoever is the main boss over this lady really needs to take the time to either fire her and get a more professional Lawyer or check in with her employees from time to time and see how they are holding up. I know at least of ONE of the employees there is very mistreated. Renee is either speaking to her in a manner that is degrading OR she won't speak to her the whole day. How does an office run when the boss is acting like she is Bi-polar. If her employees weren't there she would be in trouble so I don't understand why she is treating them in the manner she is. If they got tired of her one day and they all quit then what would Renee do? So after all that has been said, I will give the whoever is in charge of Renee to fix this problem a few days and if I don't hear back from you guys, I will go to the news stations. I know this is extreme but I can't stand by and watch how Renee treats her 2 employees and her clients. She is going to mess your reputation up.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
