I have been working with Mr. Hogan since Febuary 2023. As i reside in another state out side of Tennessee it as hard to find an Attorney after two days of searching I found Mr Hogan and this is the best choice. He is amazing and had an amazing secretary. Both ansewer any questions you have. Mr. Hogan will listen and explain everything and keep you updated not left in the dark. I have had questions pop up and I can call him day or night to me that is dedication trust and caring. I would recommend his law services to anyone in tennessee or out of tennessee that need legal advise or help. Even tho my case is still ongoing I know he will be there to the end.

Hired Attorney R. Timothy Hogan 2012-2050
    Recommends this Attorney
Mr. Hogan has been representing me for the last several years, including matters regarding child custody, my will, probating my parents will, etc. Additionally, I have recommended him to take care of a couple of divorces for friends, and he helped a friend with a bankruptcy. In all of my dealings with Tim, he has been professional, full of good advice, and ALWAYS on my side! Everyone Who has taken my recommendation to use Tim has reported that he did a great job. He is a great attorney in my opinion and a very fine man. I’d recommend him for any service he offers!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
