Overview
John Schulmeister is the founding member and managing attorney of Schulmeister Law Group. A 2016 graduate of Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas, he is licensed with the State Bar of Texas and serves on the board of the Collin County Bar Association’s Probate section and Juvenile section. He serves Collin County and its contiguous counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Grayson, and Rockwall. He began his law career with the Gray Reed law firm in Downtown Dallas, focusing on healthcare and corporate law, before joining the Tarrant Count Criminal District Attorney’s Office as Assistant Criminal District Attorney. After moving back to Collin County in 2021, settling in Allen, Texas, he practiced estate planning and probate law, along with real estate and business law, representing a wide range of clients here in the area.
John grew up in Allen, Texas, graduated from Allen High School and was a three-year varsity baseball athlete. He is married to Brooke, who is a Registered Nurse. They spend their free time raising their two boys, Jack and Dean, who keep them entertained, always.
John attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where he played baseball and graduated cum laude with a degree in International Economics and Finance, then worked at Raytheon Defense Company in McKinney, Texas before attending law school.
