Verified ClientHired Attorney 2015I would definitely recommend Jimmy Vaught. He is honest, professional, and cares about his clients.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2015Jimmy, his wonderful and talented wife, and all of his staff were professional, polite, understanding, and most of all extremely competent. I will admit that due to the extreme circumstances going on in my life I was not the easiest person to get along with, and to say that Jimmy did not see me at my best is an understatement. Despite my shortcoming and anger Jimmy et all were able to resolve my legal issue in a positive way. He is a straight shooter, and will tell you what he thinks is right, even when you knows that you do not want to hear it. Thank you for all that you did for me Jimmy, and I hope the next time we meet it will be under better circumstances. More so I hope that I am never in a situation to need your services again, but if I am you are the only person I am calling. God bless, and thank you again!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2015Jimmy and his staff were very professional and efficient while working on my case. I had a previous attorney and was unhappy with the services and advice I was given. Jimmy and his team worked hard to fix mistakes that were made. He was very professional with my ex's attorney, who did not always display the same courtesy. I would recommend him to anyone needing a great attorney. He was well worth the money.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2013I chose Leigh de la Reza to represent me in a divorce case in 2012/2013. I found her and all of the staff at the firm to be extremely helpful and professional in all aspects of my case. Leigh did a very good job of staying focused on the case and keeping me informed. She was also very good at keeping me on track and pulling me back onto the task at hand when emotions and stress of the divorce would begin to distract from the process. Look, these people are all very real and sincere in their efforts to assist their clients in maneuvering through the maze of legalities and potential pitfalls of the system. I'm sure there are other attorneys out there that will do a good job, but if you prefer a more friendly and comfortable experience through one of the most difficult times of life, go with Leigh and the rest at Vaught Law firm. I heartily endorse them! 2013-02-09_15-23-29_295.jpg 1734K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-23-59_537.jpg 1101K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-24-23_240.jpg 1070K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-24-45_699.jpg 1103K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-24-49_163.jpg 1246K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-25-16_241.jpg 1147K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-25-52_698.jpg 1280K View Share Download 2013-02-09_15-27-04_24.jpg 1194K View Share Download

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
